My craft in the field of self development is to mold the life you want using your own clay of resources and on your own terms. I do this by putting you in the driver’s seat of your life and you taking back control.
Many of us limit ourselves of the gifts we possess and that the world needs. We all have untapped assets and capital that we never explore due to our limiting beliefs, negative self talk and debilitating fear.
As said by Greg Anderson:
“Wellness is not a ‘medical fix’ but a way of living – a lifestyle sensitive and responsive to all the dimensions of body, mind, and spirit, an approach to life we each design to achieve our highest potential for well-being now and forever.
So, what is the 4 letter word to having it all you ask? It’s not what you presumed. It’s WOOP. You know the song WOOP, there it is?! (ok, it’s whoomp but it sounds like woop). And there it is folks….WOOP!
Ok. It’s an acronym for a 4 step process:
So, What does this all mean? Well, in order to get what you want, you first have to know what you want. That’s the first acronym W for wish. You need to write down clearly exactly what you want and not in a wishy washy kind of way. Write it down in the present tense, write it in postive affirmation and write it down like you already have it. Write it down like a Kindergarden teacher would write it to her students. In bold capital letters with enough spaces in between so you can pronounce every letter and is understood easily.
Second acronym, O for outcome is your why. What will you get out of it if you have it? The why has to be a list of empowering results. It has to be towrads an outcome not away from your current situation. The “why” or outcome can be visualized as being achieved and brings enthusiasm.
Third acronym, O for Obstacles. These are the obstacles that you might foresee on the journey of acheiving this goal or outcome. These are also the excuses of can’ts. “I can’t afford it.” “I can’t do it.” “I can’t have it.” and so on. You know which ones you tell yourself everyday. The ones that stop you in your tracks. To get rid of these obstacles or excuses you need to change this 4 letter word…CAN”T. Replace it with won’t. Use more empowering words. Can’t means you don’t have the skills, the brains, the will power to do it. Won’t on the other hand is more empowering. Won’t is the belief that you have the skills (if you don’t have the skill you can learn it) but won’t use it or do the goal. Better empowering words to use of course are, can and will.
Last acronym, P for Plan. This is just that, planning. Before the obstacle stops you in your track or puts you on a detour (usually the Exit) you already have the solution to conquer it. When you’re equipped with a strong Wish or What and reinforced by the why or outcome then you’re half way there. The rest is just keeping the mindset focused on the goal or outcome with a resilience to pass the obstacles by being prepared with a plan.
You can apply this 4 letter word to any goal or problem and see how easily everything you set out to do is achieved.
If the Wish or Outcome doesn’t build enough resilience for you, then maybe it’s not a goal you really wanted. Choose something else that the Wish and Outcome are so high you can see it over the mountain of obstacles. Remember the Wish is what you want and the outcome is why you want it.
This 4 letter acronym word is so effective that they made it into an app. You guessed it! It’s called the WOOP app. You’ll find in your app store.
